Writing Update--Day 11

Oops! I totally missed yesterday--Day 10. Well...it was bound to happen. And since I don't have anything super exciting to report, I'll just give a quick writing update.

I reached 52,000 words in my WIP last night (the one I plot-lined in the fall and started writing in November).

I'm just about to write an incredibly pivotal scene--one of those scenes you know from the beginning is going to be in there--the one that forms when your full concept is in place and you're like...YEAH! I'm going to write THAT!!! That is going to be awesome! That is what all of these 52,000 words were written for--to get to that scene!

That's kind of a scary moment! I have super high expectations for this scene...and everything else that happens after.

So I guess I need to start writing. How's everyone else's writing/revising progress coming along?

  2. oops. I missed a couple days myself. What is this "Philly Blog hop" the person above is talking about?

Good luck on your pivotal scene!! I hope it turns out exactly like you want it to. I am actually creeping up on 30K on a book that was at 10K a little over a week ago--so I'm feeling happy about that. :)

    1. That's awesome! I wish I was there too--because then I'd be done...or...very, very close to it.

    2. I'm not even close to done. 80,000 is only the beginning. I have no idea how long my stupid book will be - but probably 600-700 pages. Argh.
