3rd Annual NO KISS Blogfest!

GUYS! It's December 1st! Do you know what that means? It's time to start preparing for the most important day of the year! Christmas? No! New Years? No! The day after New Years? YESSSS! Because Jan 2nd, 2012 (OMG 2012) will be the 3rd Annual NO KISS Blogfest! YAY!!!!!!

The 3rd Annual NO KISS Blogfest!

What: The No Kiss Blogfest! This is when you get to write a scene or post one from your favorite books, movies, or tv shows that show the almost kiss-- the rising, crushing, excruciating, longing, tension that comes  when two characters get oh-so-close to kissing that you can just feel it, want it, NEED it....and then...they don't!

So far nearly 200 bloggers have participated! And reading every single entry was a blast! I can't wait to do it again and hopefully read more!

We interupt this post for an interupted kiss...

Jacob and Bella are the epitome of the No Kiss!

Ok, here are the details!

No Kiss Blogfest Jan 2, 2012!

Things You Should Do To Prepare For The Ultimate Non-Kissage Festivities!
1) Sometime between now and Jan 2, 2012 write a post about the No Kiss Blogfest to let everyone know you are participating and that they should too. Why? Because it's awesome!

4) After you've recovered from New Years Eve, write a blog sharing your Almost Kiss, No Kiss Blogfest entry (either one from your WIP, one you just wrote, one from a book, movie or tv show, or even a really hot almost-kiss picture)and post on January 2, 2012!!! Because reading your posts are awesome!

  1. No official word count but keep it within reason. If it goes on too long...like more than a page people may stop reading, unless it's really hot. I'll leave that open to interpretation.

  8. Can't wait for this--so fun!

I'll either post a scene from SHADE (the "Scottish lesson" scene)...or, if Aura wins 2 rounds in the Heroine Tournament, I'll write a brand-new "prequel" scene between Aura and Logan from before they were boyfriend-girlfriend. ;)

  16. When this was first mentioned to me I thought; 'Are you kidding me?'

I write YA (mostly). I let them kiss all the time. BUT, I usually have a bucket of cold water on hand before it goes any farther. (YA, after all).

Anyway...three days ago I wrote a 'No Kiss' scene in the current WIP. I couldn't believe it. So I'm thinking, 'what the hay...I'll bite'. See you Monday. I'll mention it tomorrow and tweet later.
