Friday night, I made the trip to Haverford, PA to hang out at one of my favorite indie children's book stores! Children's Book World! Basically, they jam-packed the store (which for its size can hold a surprising amount of people) with over 30 local children's writers and illustrators.
And me!
And other people too:-)
And because the night was mostly a blur of meeting people, reconnecting with old friends, and oohing and ahhing over books, I'll just show you pictures.
Plus it's the Monday after Daylight Savings Time. So who wants to read a long blog post?
...
Who wants to see pictures?
Yeah...thought so.

And there you go! I hope you enjoyed!
P.S. How freaking awesome was the extra hour of sleep we all got Sunday morning? And then who was sad when it got super dark early and realized...Winter is coming...
Sorry I missed it. Looks like it was a blast. I love Beth Kephart's jacket. I have jacket envy.
ReplyDeleteBTW--Those of us with kids did not get an extra hour of sleep. Um, the little guy thought 5:30 was 6:30.
I love pictures! And that outfit was indeed cute. Thanks for sharing. I wish we had an awesome children's book store here in Austin like that. We used to have an amazing shop called Toad Hall, but it closed down. Read more, children, read more!
ReplyDeleteOk, yayyyyy authors and indie bookstores and socializing that I'm le sad that I missed... but JANINE'S HAIR LOOKS AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWe missed you too, Donna. It was exhilarating being in the presence of so many wonderful authors. And I'm amazed so many people can fit into that tiny store.
ReplyDeleteNice pics, Frankie (except for that one of me)!

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, minus the one of me making the "what the hell kind of face am I making" face
; )
That night was wonderful and I feel so lucky to have been there. Oh and by the way, the woman with the dark auburn hair that I'm talking to is EILEEN SPINELLI!!! Such a treat getting to meet and talk with her.
It was fun hanging with you as well, as always!
PS I'll second Joanne and add one more: We did miss Donna and Christine and Kelly.
PPS Joanne: I think that picture of you is wonderful!
