So here's what we know:
Sydney is the narrator! I've also heard Richelle say that this will be in 3rd person (unlike VA and her other two series which are in 1st) and that we'll get to hear more than one POV.
It's not in the article, but Richelle has said that Rose will have cameo appearances! YAY!
It takes place in the human world, and more directly, in California.
Jill aka Jailbait has an important role
The male lead is one of the love interests from VA...those who finished Last Sacrifice...I think I know what that means and that's awesome!
Ok...any ideas or theories? I sooo want to discuss this.

I think that its going to follow Sydney's whole alchemist job, Jill's adjustment to Court Life, and then Adrian doing.. Something?

I really hope that we still have mentions of the old gang and what they're up to: such as Lissa and her Um.. new "job/title" and then Rose's *spoiler alert* relationship with Dimitri.
Overall, very excited to read this!
Love Richelle Mead, and I LOVE her VA world.
Sad that VA ended.. but excited for spinoffs.
I am sorry to say but, if Adrian and Jill become an item in this spin-off I will stop reading and lose total respect for Richealle.

I really think it's going to be fantastic, especially with who the main characters are going to be (I love Sydney, Jill, and who I think will be main male lead!). And while I really wish Richelle would write more VA books with Rose as the MC, I'll settle for some cameo appearances.
ReplyDeleteIm so excited about this! I don't have any particular love for Sydney, but I like her and I think once she's given the patented Richelle Mead narrator treatment we'll all love her. And I actually think if the love interest is who I think it is, this could be REALLY good!
ReplyDelete@Lauren when I went to her signing she said she might write more Rose books later! I think she will go back to her, we just might have to wait a few years--but its def not over yet:)

ReplyDeleteI loved this serious and it is gonna be super crazy if Richelle Mead puts Adrian with Sydney. Though she did hint at how Adrian had a great future a head of him. Plus she left some other characters' lives unresolved like Eddie, Jill, Sydney, and of course Adrian.
ReplyDeleteSydney did mention in book five how she thought Adrian was cute. Though I love Dimitri and Rose I will be very interested to see how Adrian deals with life after Rose(if he's in Bloodlines)since he liked her since Frostbite.

i just want to know more about rose and dimitri.. i love them so much, they are the cutest couple and i soo wish there was another va book on them and their relatioship and lisa.. i look forward to the spin off series, but really wish there was more to the va series..
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for "Bloodlines." I wish I didn't have to wait so long for it :( There is so much left unanswered from Last Sacrifice. I wonder what will happen to Sydney from her superiors? I also wonder about who and what Abe really does for a living? What about Mikhail and Sonia? Jill and what will happen to her to get to know her sister Lissa and also how does the Moroi politics interfer with that. Adrian, I would like to see his friedship with Rose return. What about Lissa and Christian?? Since they will not be attending the same college, when will they get together? The same for Rose and Dimitri's relationship.....they all deserve to find happiness, especially Rose and Dimitri after everything they've been through. I would like Richelle to dedicate a couple of chapters to them in this new series, not just a paragraph.

ReplyDeletei am kinda upset with richelle mead for ending VA like that... i mean really? rose just TEARS OUT adrians heart and says "we just arnt mean for each other" and then adrian just disappears???????!?!?!?! and i swear if adrian and sydney end up together so help me i shall scream!
rose should have died.... or at least ended up with both adrian and dimitri... thats why i love Laura k. Hamilton, in her fearie series the main charchter ends up with all 12 of her lovers! now why couldn't rose do that with 2?!?!?!?

I loved the fact that once Rose realized her and Adrian weren't meant to be, she let him know.
Let's face it... Rose and Dimitri were just meant to be.

As for Adrian, he'll get over it.
I have a feeling that many loose ends were left loose on purpose to get us ready for Bloodlines. And I am actually incredibly curious to see Adrian as the leading man--he never stood a chance in VA, but in Bloodlines he might actually be able to become the guy everyone on Team Adrian wanted him to be:) I really think its going to be great--Richelle is awesome.

Maybe we will find out exactly what Abe did for Sydney at last! ... I cant see them as an item, but it has to be juicey.
ReplyDeleteShould be interesting reading about Sydney and Jill, Jill has the biggest crush on Adrian Im sure but it isnt going to happen. Im sure he will be in the books though, cant see him being Sydneys love interest either. What about the guy who wanted to marry Rose, cant remeber his name (Josh maybe?) the one who live secluded with the group of humans / dhampires and Moroi. Then Richelle could bring his sister into the picture too, there are a lot of charactors there that could be well explored.
It would be cool if we got to read about the "Keepers" that where introduced in Last Sacrifice. I hope Adrian finally gets his happy ending and ends up with someone really nice. I am a big Rose and Dimitri fan and hope we get to see more of that amazing couple.

ReplyDeleteI loved this series and I think Richelle ended it perfectly with just the right amount of lose ends for a spin off series. I would like to see the collateral damage (Adrian, Jill, Sydney) taken care of. But Bloodlines takes place in a human high school..well only Sydney is human and way past high school... Until summer I guess I'll be reading the Georgina Kincaid novels...they are pretty good if lots of unadulterated sex doesn't bother you..whoooo

ReplyDeleteAs for my theories on it, as well as Sydney and Jill, Adrian and Eddie will be two other main characters. as soon as i finished reading last sacrifice and heard that there are going to be 4 main characters, i knew it would be them! Adrian pretty much told us as much in his last "victims" speech to rose. he says that him, Eddie, Sydney, and Jill are victims and have loose ends to tie up, soo obviously its going to be them four in the next book, and then when i heard that i was right about Sydney.and Jill i knew i had to be right about Eddie and Adrian too!!

So I literally just finished Last Sacrifice and was completely disappointed with the ending. Poor Adrian was left with his heart broken, and Eddie is still locked up for defending Lissa's life ??? You'd think that her being the new you know what and the murderer caught that he would be freed. Oh, and whats with Lissa having weird unknown thoughts about Jill and Rose not doing anything for Sydney...not even finding out if she's okay. I mean I loved the VA series but all this definitely skewed my opinion on Rose...where is her "honor" for those that have helped her??? grrr...all these collateral damage people better be redeemed in Bloodline.

ReplyDeleteI dont think Sydney and Adrian will get together because Sydney still is a little 'scared' of the 'creatures of the night' and a Moroi and human relationship is not common in the VA world.

I am actually excited Sydney will be one of the main characters, and I can’t wait till she falls in love with one of the creatures of the night which she definitely dislikes. I’m pretty sure she’ll end up with Adrian, since she thought he was cute after seeing some tapes of him from Las vegas. Now Adrian is such a great character, and now that he’s a mess I can’t wait for him to pull himself together and actually fight for something.
ReplyDeleteNow Jill is going to be a troublemaker, probably because of what Victor said regarding her, I think he might have said that if he was Lissa he would have her far away from court hinting that Jill might be an obstacle to Lissa’s future… who knows but I kind of agree that Jill will bring conflict since both sisters just don’t get along.
If I was the author I would probably have Adrain shadowkiss either Sydney or Jill…. It would be much more fun if it was Sydney can you imagine how upset and freaked out she would be when she goes into Adrian’s mind…. I am getting ahead of myself. Anyways I can’t wait for the book!!

Adrian at court, lissa and rose in college..Abe and janine.. god only knows where..sydney with the alchemists..eddie in a cage, maybe? jill..? i bet jill and adrian will be together because they are both kinda stuck at court..christian and dimitri? hmm, i LOVE LOVE LOVE christian...and the only ppl he has are his friends..no real family. :( i hated how he took the fall with that. anyways, wayyyy too many freaking questions, and i cant wait till august!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteto be honest, i think Sydney is boring compared to Rose. Rose delivered lots of jokes and funny lines. But I'm optimist that Mead will bring out the best out of all characters right?
