Cruising through youtube the other day, I was reminded of this music video for a song I was absolutely OBSESSED with my senior year at Cornell.
See, I've always kind of had a soft spot for bad European dance songs...the cheesier the better--I WAS born in the 80's. And so when my friend from Russia introduced me to this gem, it was all over.
Of course nothing can compare to the obsession I had with THIS song!
The first time I heard the infamous Numa Numa song, I was at a friend's house party. It started playing and I grabbed my friend's arm and ran into the middle of the dance floor/living room yelling, "I LOVE this song!" I think I had a sixth sense that I would love this song. Anyway, she was hooked too, and we invented the goofiest dance to go with it--performed regularly now at weddings and New Years Eve parties--not to mention we hosted a party at our apartment two weeks later for the sole purpose of sneaking this song into the playlist a total of 8 times. 8 times... Because that's how we roll.
I also may or may not have sung the song to a bunch of Romanian guys I met one night in the city...
