So it's official. I am about to make my deal with the Universe. And because I let the people who read my blog pretty much decide everything for me, including coming up with the idea for this challenge I figured you guys should decide the final verdict.
So here's the deal I promise the UNIVERSE (sorry to go all caps but wanted to make sure you were listening) that I will remake a cheesy/iconic music video. I will recreate the costumes, I will do the choreography and lip sync and basically completely embarass myself when my book sells. And I'm letting you guys pick the video, so you absolutely positively must vote in the comments!
It's ELECTION TIME!
To be fair, I'm going to give all of the candidates a say (show their video below) AND I'm going to give you some of my thoughts on performing each video to
Candidate 1: Britney Spears, Hit Me Baby One More Time
Pro: The choreography is insanely easy to do!
Con: Except for the back flip.
Pro: The essential costume is easy to get.
Con: Sparkly feathery scrunchies in my hair=so lame!
Pro: This is SO iconic.
Con: This is SO 90's!
Pro: I own (vegan) boots!
Con: I kind of hate this song and this video
Pro: The choreography is doable
Con: And kind of lame
Pro: I think I know where I can film the restaurant scene
Con: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont' make me wash my car in a bikini!
Con: This video borders on a line of ridiculousness that even I don't want to touch.
Candidate 3: Shakira, Whenever, Wherever
Pro: I can totally rock this choreography (that alone should make you vote for Shakira)
Con: Brown suede pants don't seem flattering
Pro: I have all kinds of funny ideas in my head for how to make this one amazing
Con: How do I get a a herd of horses? Do horses run in herds? Or is it packs? Hmmm.
Pro: Shannon made me promise to actually sing the line about breasts being small and humble

Con: I shall have to wear some sort of half shirt, half bra. And it will be brown!

With all these Universe deals being made, I'm getting antsy. I want your books to sell RIGHT NOW. (I mean, I always did, but you know...it's worse now.)
So, I'm on the bandwagon that Shannon got rolling and my vote is 3 book deal, 3 video deal. No cop outs allowed.

1 book deal - Shakira - love the line & have to hear it.
2 book deal - Shakira + Jessica - it is too much for me to resist the car wash scene because you don't want to do it so much.
3 book deal - goes without saying - all 3. =D
I vote Shakira! (Mainly because I LOVE her and want to bellydance because of her ;D) I'm not even joking when I say I love her... I did an informative speech on her xD!

But it's supposed to be a deal with the universe for something that is NOT easy for you, right? Something that you wouldn't do otherwise.
So I'm going to have to go with the Jessica Simpson video.
Because it's just HORRIBLE, and it would be SO hilarious to watch you singing and washing a car in a bikini. And wearing vegan cowboy boots with shorts so short they are practically underwear.

As hilarious as the Jessica Simpson video was, I don't even think it have been made again, so it definitely doesn't need to be recreated, even for a parody...that was awful.

All of you people who are voting for me to do multiple videos(Shannon, RK, LK, Sarah) for a multiple book deal are PURE evil, because you know I will totally do it and ugh! I can't believe I picked the hardest deal with the universe ever and the most embarassing! I mean other people just dye their hair or have to click on a yotube video. What have I gotten myself into. And wow, Britney is making a comeback!!!
