Nanorevismo Day 1

Happy November 1st everybody and happy day 1 of Nanowrimo or whatever it is everyone else who isn't as cool as me and Shannon and probably some other people (dude, can we make our own button?) are doing, and anyway its Nanorevismo Day 1! AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Now officially it's been Nanorevismo in my world for the last three months...since I finished my WIP this summer, so I'm used to this sort of thing, I roll with it. But because I have a self inflicted deadline of finding me an agent in December, and oh look Hai November, I'm in the final countdown, the final month, the...look I need to finish this soon and it needs to be GREAT!

So this month it's not just revision time, it's Officially revision time-see the captial O?

And so what pray tell have I accomplished so far today?

Ummmm well nada...

But I swear it wasn't my fault and I know what you're thinking excuses, excuses, but see I was babysitting all afternoon and then I had papers to grade (because I'm a very important adjunct professor) and more which I still need to grade and I also need to bake some cupcakes and brownies and other things (No really I do!). See my baby sister is coming home from college tomorrow because she is in need of some TLC so I need to bake.

But...well I still have things for you. Yay!

Ok after my epic battle with chapter 10 where I pulled a knife (figuratively) and went all pyscho on a scene, not once but twice, I sent the finished product off to my critique partner Kelly and my book dedicatee Atiya to look at.

And lo and behold, they both wrote to me at like the same time and because I am totally shameless and actually admitted to seeing Just Friends more than once, I think I earned the right to quote. Plus Shannon is currently looking at chapter 4 and when that email gets in my inbox, I'll be taking deep breathes again.

So a little Frankie love for just a moment...

Kelly says "Nice job! I say that you won the battle ;) I loved the fact that Ryan and Lilliana...(spoiler warning)"

Atiya says, "Excellent really strong chapter. I'm excited to read 11. I think this was my favorite R and L scene. "

So take that chapter 10! Frankie:1, Chapter 10:0

Although by the time Shannon has crawled out of my avalanche of adverbs, Chapter 10 may be telling me a different story. But just know that right now I have won the battle! Stick it!

Anyway, I'm going to go look at chapter 11 now:-)
