Sometimes I Think About Zombies...

Sometimes, not often, I don't know-don't ask. Anyway to read some of my thoughts on zombies head on over to the FNC and check it out.

OK now that that's off my chest let me talk a little bit about revisions. So I have my printed out and bound copy of my book and I carried it around with me all day, showing it off to people all like "yeah look at this, see these words, yeah I typed them, uh-huh!" And while it's not an actual ARC or anything, its still really nice to hold, and much easier to read then my HUGE word document on my computer.

I spent some time today reading my opening. I was kind of dreading rereading the beginning because my experience has usually been of me reading something I wrote with one eye open and cringing, but I was kind of getting into it. I mean its by no means perfect, but I can safely say that this book is the best thing I've ever written. Yay! I'm slowly starting to get ideas for how to move a few events around, particularly at the end-where it counts.

I'm not really revising quite as rigorously yet as I'd like to be. I think I'm maybe still in shock that I finished and I'm also exhausted. So a couple of things are starting to fall into place in my mind, but not everything. It's going to be hard to really fix this until I know for sure the direction I want my ending to go in.

In other news, Laura currently has a copy on her and she is reading it-like a book-cool! So far she likes it which is exciting. So not a whole lot of new to report here. I definitely need a break through...fingers are crossed!!!

Also, I can't seem to get through an entire day without a vanilla soy latte. So I'm off to find one and stalk the YA section of Barnes and Noble...it's Tuesday...new release day...I may not come back empty handed...we'll see...
