More Adventures in Rainy Scotland

Today it is POURING as if Scotland suddenly remembered it's a rainy country and is trying to make up for the few days of sun it gave us. Tonight we are all going to the SUISS formal, so that should be a ton of fun with lots of great pics of us all looking fab. Luckily, we're taking a taxi to the reception hall, because I doubt the rain is planning to stop anytime soon.

I just downloaded the Mamma Mia soundtrack and it's fabulous. I'm having the best time staying dry and waiting for my laundry to be done. Right now my favorite song on the soundtrack is Lay All Your Love On Me:-)

I'm super happy with the lunch staff at the University. They made me a special vegan meal two days in a row, and they are being so nice about it! The lunchs are really tasty and I'm finishing them with means I'm not starving the rest of the day wanting to buy more food that I can't afford and that I shouldn't be eating anyway (like soy lattes).
Lunch was also slightly hilarious today because it came out that I'm a bellydancer so most of the girls from Cyprus and Turkey wanted me to dance, so I ended up giving an impromptu performance in the cafeteria with the girls clapping and singing to make music for me. The lunch ladies were so amused and think its their vegan food giving me the skills, hehehe. I find it so funny that I came here to write and I'm bellydancing. Though it was pretty fun to have an audience again. I had been missing performing lately and I know once my book is out in stores, I'm picking up dancing again and hopefully I'll find the balance I need to both dance and write. So far it seems that my creativity goes 110% in one direction, either dancing, or writing, but never both.

I also finally found some ripe mangoes.

Anyone who knows me will understand just how happy that made me. I have a slight obsession with the fruit. I'm capable of eating nothing but mangoes all day.

So kudos to the lunch people for my vegan meals, and yay for mangoes!!!

Last night we all tried to go out to a club but somehow it was closed. I seriously cannot figure out the time table here. So we ended up at some little bar playing what sounded like tribal bellydance music a la Pentaphobe. It was pretty fun, but I got tired pretty quickly since we went out after 11PM, which apparently is early for some European countries, but a bit late for me, especially on a school night. We came home from the ceilidh the other night at 11. But that's alright. I've been getting by without that much sleep (now that I know my food is pure and vegan).

K, gotta go get my laundry out, but should have a fun update later with pretty prom-like pictures.
